Russian Probe
The 1st Video- Sarah Sanders states that the president that was a heaux and his accusations were ludicrous, this sympathy card which is what Ms.Sanders is doing this technique definitely falls within the lines of Appealing to Pathos. As the CNN reported questions her on a particular question which is in the reference toward the President's job, she is very adamant about not over stepping her boundaries and by-passing the question which then leads into her briefly discussing the President' responsibilities and this is where she Appeals to Ethos and Logos. According to Ms.Sander's credentials/profession , she is then trusted with her commentary but can also answer the question without answering the question. After clarifying to the CNN reporter,her responsibility, she lists out actual facts that defended the President which contradicted was mentioned earlier on.
2nd Video- This host has a very passionate attitude about this topic which, depleted some of the other area that needed extra help such Appealing to Ethos. In this video, I am very shocked at some of the words that was was stated. The entire video could have been a satirical video but some of what she said may loose credibility and maybe even validity because what are her credentials did she ever attend College or ? The use of Appealing to Logos, helps to convey to the audience members that
she knows what she is talking about but not in the format. The hostess seems to aggressive, it is almost as if she is angrily yelling toward the audience members. She could have done that for entertainment purposes but it is too much.
3rd Video-This video in particular used more of Logos to appeal to their audience. This news report contained a serious tone of voice. The summary of this video pretty much discussed how Papadopulos politician was having a casual drink in the bar with an Australian Diplomat where some private information pertaining to having "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. This information was exposed to the public and the F.B.I investigated. The use of Pathos was not as apparent in this video, but the use Ethos and Logos made up for that. The use of Ethos, where the use of credentials/authority was seen these were not just any 2 men having a drink, but it was the "higher ups" of the politician world.
4th Video- The use of Logos once again was head-on with details to further "fill in" the public on what is going on, however I did notice that was the reporter was discussing the issue with Papadapulos there were photos of him on vacation rather than professional photos of him at work. I was then wondering if that was a tactic from the new outlet to make Papadapulos look worse. I am not understanding why show happy pictures of someone on vacation who is in deep trouble with F.B.I for leaking information, this would fall into Appealing to Pathos.
